Happy New Year

This is what the Lord says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV

This verse popped up on Bible Gateway app on the last day of 2018.  It is an appropriate way to start 2019.

As I relive the wilderness years of dementia with my Dad, and of the horror of Lewy Body, this verse is perfect.

God bless you in 2019, or whenever you may be reading this blog post.

    Happy New Year 2019.
Nancy, your blog speaks to my heart. I’m appreciative of your openness and honesty. Childhood thru adult are such such formative years. You are not your father, and his medical issues are devastating as you will now tell us. The stress of being an adult, raising children, maintaining a good relationship with your partner, and keeping an open and grateful line of communication to our Father…. are just overwhelming most days… add a medical component Lewy Body Dementia just takes it over the top. Your sweet heart compels you to share.
